This walk involves a drop from the Bradleys Head Road ridge down to the water's edge at Sirius Cove, then a climb up to the Raglan Street ridge and a final descent to Mosman Wharf. It follows the route taken by early artists such as Streeton, who established the Curlew artists camp in the late nineteenth century. The early part of the walk is through a little park then along a suburban street and descends to a bush track running along the foreshore. The climb from Sirius Cove to Raglan Street takes you to another of Mosman’s delightful parks, Curraghbeena Park. You will encounter a wide variety of architectural styles on the last part of the route. Mosman Bay and its slopes were the first areas of settlement in Mosman and its housing density is quite high by Mosman standards. There are many examples of early apartment block building styles. Mosman Bay has a fascinating history which you can read about in a separate document produced by Mosman Historical Society.
Mosman Council has produced a map of this route. You can download it here here.
